“When I saw Mark's course, I was like, 'If he already gave all this great info for free, what's in the course must be spectacular!' And I was right. The insight he provides, how to compile the special story, the spreadsheet, all genius!”
“I was able to be super prepared thanks to Mark Allan Groleau's Unboring!Officiant course. Thank you! The parents and guests raved about the ceremony. Best investment I ever made!”
“It was worth every penny - and more.”
“It was so much fun! I really wasn’t that nervous because of the confidence I had and it being a good ceremony based on your really awesome unboring format. I spoke with the bride and groom a couple of days after, and they said that people are still coming up to them talking about that ceremony and how good it was. Nobody could believe it was my very first ceremony. Thanks again for making me look like a pro!”
“Unboring!Officiant changed my life.”
“After doing and attending weddings for the past couple of decades, I thought I had scooped up most of the good ideas, but this has injected new life into my ceremonies. Telling the couple's story has now become the centrepiece of the ceremony in my weddings!”
“Not only does Mark provide an incredibly clear, comprehensive and thoughtful guide to help officiate an amazing wedding, he does it with a very accessible, easy-to-understand, step-step-step plan. He really does take rookies and makes them pros!”
“When asked to officiate for my niece, I shivered with fear and doubt that I could meet the expectations that any bride would have, let alone my extraordinary niece. I hunted the Internet and knew instantly Mark was going to be my officiant guru. His step-by-step program gave me a sense of order, process and control. I adapted my personal style, I adopted his structure, and I felt confident that Unboring!Officiant gave me all the tools needed to be the best version of myself and at the same time be a professional officiant that could accomplish the task at hand. I will be recommending Mark and Unboring!Officiant to every person I know who has the privilege of being asked to officiate a wedding!”
“I had decided to become a wedding officiant and found myself booked for 7 weddings in no time. I was panicking as I had no idea on what was involved, and it was really difficult to find any online resources. I came across the Unboring!Officiant, and decided to buy the course. It was the best money I have spent! It gave me the confidence I was lacking. I used the course and the resources right away. It taught me what questions to ask and how to get a sense of the couple. During the entire time, Mark has been available for support and always responded quickly and with thorough answers. I felt like he wanted me to succeed. I performed my first wedding with confidence and it was far beyond expectations! Mark's course took my fear away because it gave me the tools to excel. Even better, I received rave reviews and on-the-spot positive feedback. Thank you, Mark and Unboring!Officiant - you showed me how to get the party started!”
“Whether you're doing a one-time wedding or starting a business: if you want your service to stand out, take this course.”
“My first wedding was a huge success! Everything was perfect. I was so relaxed with the script you provided. Lots of laughs, a few tears (none by me!) and many guests coming up later to say how much they loved it. After the ceremony, the planner came up and said, ‘Wow, that was great...how many weddings have you done...you seem so natural.’ I kinda skirted the question and just said thank you and asked her if I could help her we anything else. I could not have done this without you. I contribute my entire success to you. The script was perfect....so personal. Everybody was so pleased. I appreciate you took the time to call and coach me last week. I made all the changes you recommended and it was perfect. Much gratitude!”
“It went great! I had lots of comments from guests, and was told by the bride and groom that they loved the ceremony and that they had people saying they loved it! In fact the groom said he had more people complimenting the ceremony than he did saying he looked good! I already had someone asking the bride if she thought I might do his wedding later this year! I can’t thank you enough for the course and the attention to detail you provide. You were truly a godsend! I also appreciate the time you took to read my story and talk to me about it on the phone. Thank you, thank you!”
“Wow wow WOW! My first ceremony went ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I’m still coming down from the high! Everything went perfect. The rehearsal was great and it really set the tone for the ceremony. I noticed how people were excited and looking forward to having me officiate the wedding just from what I did during the rehearsal process. And the actual ceremony was beautiful. I got a 'standing ovation' when I walked into the reception. I also had three people who were interested in having me officiate their wedding in the fall. The photographers gave me kudos, the trio playing the music said they’ve never seen a wedding officiated in the way I did it; and, the close friends of the bride and groom who already knew the story shared that they were on the edge of their seats to know what happens next…AND THEY ALREADY KNEW WHAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU Mark - for creating this course and for the coaching call that really helped me! Talking with you put me at ease and gave me the confidence to do this. First wedding in the books and many many more to come because I want to keep doing this.”

What's in Unboring!Officiant that's not in all the free stuff I've already grabbed?
In a word: it’s chronological step-by-step teaching and the tools you need to check them off. My YouTube channel is loaded with advice and pointers, and my blog is chock-full of tips and tricks. But Unboring!Officiant… well, that’s the step-by-step system you follow to build the perfect crowd-pleasing wedding, and it’s got every tool you need to make ceremony-creation a cinch.
You start by downloading my ceremony planning spreadsheet with your couple and watch training videos on exactly how to use it and guide your couple through a brainstorm. Then you download my wedding script template and adapt it to your couple’s preferences and watch training videos on how to make it your own. Then you make a copy of my survey form and send it to your couple’s friends and family and watch training videos on what to do with the answers. Then you download my own story-writing template and watch training videos on how to use it to hand-craft a moving and funny love story and officiant speech. Then you download a rehearsal checklist and watch training videos of every detail on how to run a ceremony with the script you’ve made. Then you watch training videos of how to take that script and practice, deliver, and show up for your best ceremony ever.
It’s A-to-Z, it’s every tool you’ll ever need (no more, no less), and it’s blueprint training so you’ll never be guessing about what to do next or how to do it.
Sounds better than zig-zagging around the Internet and jerry-rigging something together, doesn’t it? Unboring!Officiants sure think so.
Will this course teach me how to drum up couples to marry?
No. While a future course may help with the “business” side of officiating and how to land clients, this course assumes you have a couple to marry or know where to find a couple who wants to get married. If you’re trying to get an officiating practice off the ground, you can certainly grab the course and crush your first ceremony when you do get a client. But go find someone to marry first!
Will this course make me legally certified to register weddings in my province or state?
No. While anyone can officiate a wedding ceremony, everywhere is different on the legal end of things. You have to fulfill whatever legal obligations are required of your state or province to register weddings with your local government.
A couple of alternatives (pun intended!): your couple can get an honorary legal officiant to attend, witness, and sign (they usually charge two hundred bucks for this or something like that); or, they can go to their local courthouse or city hall to get the legalities taken care of before or after your ceremony (again: usually one or two hundred bucks).
Do I get access to everything all at once or do I have to wait?
No waiting! You get access to everything right away. You can attack the material at any pace you want.
What exactly do I get with the course?
Great question! As soon as you purchase, you will get immediate access (via user name and password) to the entire Unboring!Officiant program.
Is this course right for me? Meaning, will it "work" for me?
OK, so everyone’s situation is a little bit different and of course I can’t guarantee results (or some dudes with suits would probably show up to my door and we would have a problem), but I can give you the EXACT blueprint for success with this and all the tools, strategies and step-by-step hand-holding.
The course is definitely right for you if: you’ve been asked to officiate for a friend or family member and you have no idea where to start or how to put a wedding ceremony together. Or… you’re a member of the clergy whose job description it is to marry couples under your care and you want to become proficient officiating the latest and most contemporary style of wedding. Or… you’ve been clergy for a long time but feel that it’s time to update your technique and even branch out and officiate professionally. Or… you’ve officiated a couple of weddings and enjoyed it and now you’re looking for a slam-dunk approach that will make you highly sought-after and a system that is replicable so you can handle a high-volume of wedding requests. Or… if you’re fairly gregarious, confident, and looking for a career option that gives you very flexible hours with a high fee – whether on the side or full-time, this is going to be for you.
The key “requirement” I’d say is definitely a positive attitude, being an action-taker and being “coachable.” Also, a real desire to not only learn BUT ACTUALLY IMPLEMENT (and a positive attitude always helps). I wish I would have known this stuff years ago when I started officiating (and learned it even earlier than I did). But I bumbled along for a few years cobbling ceremonies together, seeing what worked, and finding out “on the job” what didn’t work. (ouch). The course is NOT for you if: you are expecting “overnight results” with “very little effort/work involved” this; if this is you, my friend, then this is not for you.
I give you the EXACT blueprint and tell you want to do, but only you can actually do it, and yes, it involves getting in the trenches and doing work (that being said, I can take tons of time off your learning curve which is another benefit of the course). If you have a negative, crappy attitude, please don’t buy the course. Life is too short and we probably won’t get along – hah! Also, and this is a big one, if you “know all of this already and are a smarty, smarty pants” this might not be for you. My guess is I will be sharing with you in the course SOME things you already know and A LOT OF things you probably don’t do. But, this is the secret sauce, it is all put together as a system for you to go at it step-by-step. If you come in with the attitude that you know everything and are looking for some kind of magic fairy dust, this ain’t for you.
How long on average will it take for me to get results?
This obviously varies person to person with lots of factors. Everyone works at different speeds!
In a nutshell though: you could use this system to finish your ceremony in about 3-4 weeks if you fast-track it. Comfortably, I teach a 6-week process for creating the perfect ceremony from start to finish.
Now, of course that’s not 6 weeks of straight working on the ceremony! This 6 weeks includes sending a survey to your couple and waiting a week, and then sending a survey to their friends and family and waiting another week. A lot of the 6 weeks is waiting – you don’t want to be holding your couple’s feet to the fire when they’re working so hard spinning so many plates planning their wedding day.
As I say in the course: I have this system down to 12 total hours. Yep. 12 hours of total work – INCLUDING 4 HOURS OF COMMUTE TIME to and from the rehearsal and ceremony (yeah, Toronto traffic is a pain). It will take you a few runs at it to get there, as it did me.
But with some practice, you’ll go from shaking hands with your couple for the first time to pronouncing them married – in just 12 total hours.
Do I really get lifetime access?
YES! Whoop, whoop! That means never pay again!
Is Unboring!Officiant really step-by-step?
Absolutely! No guesswork. Just follow the system.
What side do the men stand on and what side do the ladies stand on in the ceremony?
Hey, focus! We’re not talking about that right now! (But the answer is: men on the right, women on the left. 😛 )
How long does it take to go through the course?
Each of the 6 steps is on average just under an hour – several “action” videos on average about 20 minutes each.
You can watch everything before you get started on your ceremony, or you can build your ceremony along as you go, step-by-step.
Mark, what if I want a refund? What's the policy?
So, here is the deal on refunds: I pride myself on a high quality program that actually works…if you put the work in. Meaning, if you do what I teach you, good things happen. If you don’t do it, nothing good happens. Shocking, right? 🙂 If within 30 days, you are unhappy for whatever reason, just email our customer support and you will receive a full refund. I stand behind Unboring!Officiant 100%.
I have a question, who should I ask?
Email me at [email protected]!
Will I get anything via snail mail?
Nope! Everything takes place online (all digital!) and not only can login anytime you want (and go at your own pace), you can also download all the tools and them with you.
Who gets seated last? The mother of the bride or the mother of the groom?
Geeez! You just can’t stop thinking about ceremony logistics for just two minutes, eh?? (Okay, the answer is: the mother of the bride gets seated last. But can we focus on the course, please…? 🤣)
